CAMBODIA 2006
TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO DIED IN TORTURE
Former school classroom at Tuol Svay Prey High School
in Phnom Penh.
The school was taken over by the Khmer Rouge Regime and renamed Security
Centre - 21.
It was used as a torture and death camp.
The original bed and
chains have been left as a memorial. On the wall a picture of its last
victim
chained to the bed is hung illustrating what the liberating Vietnamese
army discovered.
The bodies af these last victims are buried just outside.
Under the victim's
bed were pools of blood which accumulated during weeks of torture.
It appears to have permanently stained the floor tiles with brown patches.
